Hi Silver Lunar I was wondering where you managed to view the Overseas indexes? Do you have the fiche/discs? Or are they somewhere online please? Sylvia

Following on from Sylvia's suggestion I've had a look at the overseas indexes From 1892 to 1920 for William John Price, but I only found 1. Price, William J. Keating, Lucy Station:Gibraltar Year:1913 Page:20

Regarding Alices name... Were any of their children born after Sept q 1911 - a long shot I know, but Alice's maiden name would be shown on the registration, no need to purchase a cert. Failing that, you could order just one of their children's birth certs and that will include the mother's maiden name. I think you need to establish the correct spelling of that before you can successfully trace back any further Hope this helps Sam

Hi Paula I'm just wondering, if your William Price was with a British regiment, whether the marriage records might be at the GRO overseas dept. Do you know which regiment he was with? That would help them trace. Sylvia

Have a look at these sites, they bothe cover the different parts of Ireland - sorry geography's bad so gave you both - they tell you how to order from the GRO's. Each office only covers the part of Ireland I put as titles above the addresses. Remove brackes from addresses Northen Ireland www.groni(.)gov.uk/index.htm Eire www.groireland(.)ie/

Hi All I am at a bit of a dead end with my gt.gt.Grandmother Annie Gardiner (Gardener? Gardner?) was born April 19th 1880 Limerick Ireland. She married my gt.gt.Grandfather (a british solider) William John Price in Limerick and died in Abertillery, Wales 1945. Can anyone tell me how to order an Irish Marriage Cert or Birth Cert? Also are there any resources you suggest we look at first, considering that we cant even spell her surname at the moment ! As always advice gratefully received.... P
