Have just tried this site. Excellent. More comprehensive index than multimap and I really like the way you can move the map around. Thanks.

Hi Dave/Duck Yes, I think google maps are really good. I like the fact that you can drag the map with the mouse instead of having to click an arrow and wait for the next bit of map to load. I understand that this is currently the beta test, and that in due course they will be adding arial views of the area - that will be really good, hope it does not take too long. Sherlock - I think so, but sometimes you need to try various maps if you are looking for somewhere from 150 years ago! However, I always try google maps first. Tina

Google have added a map service to their system. http://maps.google(.)com/ it seems to work a lot smoother than other available systems. I think it is the testing stage so might be a few hiccups. dave
