Thank you I've added that to my growing collection of bookmarks in the 'places' folder. Just have to hope I can find it again if ever I really need it! It certainly looks an interesting site. Christine

I came across this website today. It is a Glasgow digital library which has lots of interesting sections, one being Ebooks on old houses which includes indexes of the owners and their history. Also has other sections on work, education, trade unions etc, in Victorian times on a timeline. Well worth a look even if you are not searching Glasgow history. http://gdl.cdlr.strath.ac.uk/ Karen
