I log in, but every time I click on something a message comes up saying 'Your session has been timed out' and it asks me to log in again, so I can't get anywhere. Can't even e-mail them to ask for help, because I get the same stupid message when I click on 'Contact Us'! I'd like to buy some units, but can't do so until it's sorted in case I can't use them. Is anyone else having similar problems? Pam

Pam I couldn't get the hang of this site at all. First it wouldn't let me in, and then I couldn't make sense of my searches. nell

Thank you Nell and Chris. If you both think it's pants that's good enough for me - I'll cross it off my list! Pam

Hi Pamela, It is to do with the security settings on your PC. I had exactly the same problem and have found that the only way I can access the site is to go into Tools - Internet Options - Security and then change all the settings to the lowest possible. Of course, I go back in and put them back to how they were before as soon as I have finished! Also make sure cookies are enabled. Sam x

It could be your virus software, the same thing was happening to me and it only works if I disable my virus software (McAfee). I know I shouldn't, but I have, and I seem to not be infected!! Sarah

I have to say when its working properly this is the absolutely best site for search 1866-1920. You can enter your surname and bring up everyone for that period and in an area you choose. I got 9 pages of my (unusual) surname just for the cost of about 18 units. They are currently working on 1837-1866 and that should be really good. Its a really bit shame they dont seem to get their act together with the actual site technicalities.

I thought it was good too, totally confused, UNTIL I found much later ,that a name had been missed of the search! I e-mailed them + it was in the wrong place they said! I know mistakes happen BUT i didnt trust it anymore so resorted to other sites + trawling through 1837. I also had connection problems, although to be fair , they did refund my credits that I had lost. Even so I am wary now. Regards Ann
