Susanne Thanks for that. My Norfolk grandfather died before I was born, and my dad, brought up in Stoke Newington, had a London accent, but he would occasionally give a 'flavour' of my Norfolk grandfather Jeuel Jabez Gray: blust, that's a rum 'un (or as I would say, fancy that!) He also had a lot of sayings - you need that like a frog needs a back pocket -it's as wet as a sh*t on a slate on a rainy day and a great piece of advice for all genealogists: - a fact is a lie and a half! nell
