Just wondered if anyone had bought any? I am watching an auction for the 1851 census of Worcestershire, should i put a bid on? are they genuine? seems fairly cheap at £16.99. Anyone help?

If the user id of the seller is 'census' then they are genuine. The seller is the UK agent for Gordon Beavington in Canada. I have bought quite a few of his census cds and they are reasonably good, but the images are only as good as the films he has to work from which can vary from very good to illegible. Some of his cds do have an index and transcription and some are images only, but it is made clear on the auction which they are.

Thanks Carol, this id is 'census' it says they are scanned images and the images produced as a film strip format. Do you know what that is? Maggie
