Please can anyone help me with the 1851 census for Runcorn, Cheshire? Some time ago I had access to the 1851 census (Maybe through Ancestry I can't remember) The listing was for the household of: Thomas Derbyshire born 10th December 1814 in Patricroft, Lancashire (Head) Alice Derbyshire nee Thompson born c1815 in Manley, Cheshire (Wife) The child I am looking for is: Clarey Derbyshire age 5. born c 1846 The only notes I have are: '1851 Census shows Clarey living with her seven siblings in Bridgewater Street, Runcorn, Cheshire'. I appear to have lost the image (which I usually save) and unfortunately most of my files are in storage due to a house move. I have in front of me the Baptism Register for Runcorn and the Buriels she isn't on them. The problem arises because listed in the Baptisms is a Louisa Derbyshire of the same parents in 1846. As it is they have 14 children so I do want to be sure of what I am doing but I certainly don't want to delete her if she is actually theirs. Oh Problems!!!! Confused??? so am I :-s Gaynor

Hi there Have had a look on the 1851 on Ancestry but cannot find it sorry. Ancestry only have a 'sample' for 1851 at the moment. Hope you find it again!

Hiya 1851 likes to hide on Ancestry!! The only way I find it is to go to the Home Page, click on search all databases then go to 'C' for Census! There is probably an easier way but am not terribly good at this yet! Good luck!

Hi Brenda - yes I have Louisa too thanks. Linda - I have tried to follow your gudelines, but my homepage doesn't say anywhere 'search all databases ' there is a 'search records' tab an 'advanced search' tab and a 'list all databases' tab So I still can't find it :-( Thanks for the reply anyway. Well, I have found the sample 1851 census finally in 'list all databases' but still no Clarey, in fact the family aren't there at all. I have finally found the image for the census on my pc but the quality saved is illegible (it was pre upgrade and hasn't saved too well). Does anyone out there have the 1851 census for Runcorn Cheshire by any chance? Pleeease. p.s I wonder where I found it in the first place?
