Those of you with Ancestry 1891 census look at rg12/4333 f119 p 5 Alexander L Ross age 2 occupation on census is 'Mischief!' Anyone any other occs like this? Nice to know the enumerators had a sense of humour! Kim |

Makes you wonder if he was at the crawling stage and bit the ennumerators ankle or something!- He obviously made an impression somehow! |

I always thought enumerators had a sense of humour. You'd certainly think so, the way they like to hide our ancestors behind a smokescreen of mistranscriptions. Poor little 'mischief'. |
