Go Tools/Internet Options. On the page that comes up there is an button to delete files. Hit it. Click on 'Settings/View Files' That will bring up a list of Cookies. You can delete all other than those which hold log-in information e.g. genes reunited. If you take out those with login information you will have to re-input your user name and password next time you visit that site, instead of it being done automatically. |

Hi, How do I delete temporary files and cookies? I think I have grasped the theory of cookies (but not really really) but I wouldn't know one if I stared it in the face. I would hate to delete something that really shouldn't be but how would I know which should go and which should stay. I am always scared about doing something or the first time on my computer because it never complies with the instructions that I have been given and religiously followed. I really need instructions like first, switch on computer etc. This damsel is really distressed at the mere thought of deleting files so treat me gently. Rita |
