G H BROWN, 1338347 Flt Sgt, Pilot, age 21 G CRANSTON, 1452911 Sgt, Navigator, B FORSHAW, 1038479 Sgt, Air Bomber, age 23 A T G JONES, 571686 Sgt, Flight Engineer, W MILNER, 617405 Sgt, Air Gunner S RENNIE, 1111502 Sgt, Air Gunner E G SNEYD, 1313128 Sgt, Wireless Operator / Air Gunner If anyone has these RAF names in their tree - they were shot down over Alsace and are buried in Appenwihr - we took photos, earlier this month, of the CWGC grave in the Church cemetery there. Sgt Jones was a cousin of one of our parishioners. There is a photo on the CWGC site, of course, along with the names. The grave is beautifully maintained, as one expects of a CWGC grave. If anyone does have a particular interest, I may be able to e-mail a copy of a relevant image. Christine |
