Thank you very much Lunar and Tony. I have searched on the Archive site as I have the exact date etc but he definately isn't on there. I will try googling (although I've just about googled myself to death today - Lol). If not joy, I will take Tony's very kind advice and send of for it. Many thanks again. Pam |

National Archives don't have alot of ww1 naval records, but I have no idea where thay may be held. Have you just tried searching the surname and year range? as you sometimes get lucky. or try googleing naval medal cards. |

I have discovered a relative of my husbands killed during WW1 at the Battle of Coronel when all hands on his ship were lost. I have just looked on the National Archive site for his medal card but don't seem to be having any success finding it. Is there somewhere different I should be looking for Navy medals? Thanks Pam |
