Please could someone look up William Field of Bethnal Green for me? I can trace him from 1861 to 1901, the family are ‘Hatters’. In 1861 William is described as ‘Hat Manufacturer, employing 1 man, 1 apprentice, 1 boy, 1 girl. He married Jane Elizabeth Ann Swetman in 1849 and on the marriage certificate his father is described as James Field, shopkeeper. I’m not having any luck tracing James or his wife, possibly Elizabeth, and wondered if the 1851 or 1841 census would help. I’d be grateful if there is anyone out there who could do a look-up for me. Many thanks, Penny.

P.S. can offer look ups on 01,91,81,71,61 free BMD etc, plus have a couple of 1837 credits to spare.

Thanks Brenda, it could be William's father, though as you say he is a bit young. William was born about 1830. Thanks again, Penny.
