Can anyone help with this please, I keep getting pop-up from Aurora - I have Microsoft spyware, which catches some of them but not all. I get dozen's every day and sometimes when I am about to click on something on the site I am using the pop up happens and I click on that instead. Then I get even more trash to deal with. I also have AOL spyware and have set AOL to block pop-ups but nothing seems to work so far. Thanks in advance, Cheryl

Do you have Norton? you can set that up to stop popups too. My google bar also has a popup blocker on it Shirley

You can download a pop up killer free on the internet.

But if you delete them, you may find that when you visit a site you need to enable them as the info you want is in a separate window, so you can press control + click on the link to enable. I have something called MereSurfer which stops them. nell

Thanks for the reply everyone, I will try your suggestion of using Google Toolbar and yes I do have Norton, but I'll have a look and see if I need to select blocking pop-ups. Thanks again Cheryl

Cheryl.... You're getting the pop-ups because there are spyware/adware programs that have installed themselves on your PC. Although Google will block these pop-ups, it will not correct the problem (and for the record, Google also adds spyware to your PC.) You need to identify the program(s) causing the problems. Runnning ADAWARE should identify the .exe programs, you still need to remove the .exe programs manually. Adaware only cleans up the junk that is generated by exhisting spyware/adware programs on your PC.....it will not remove the actual program(s). As for Microsoft's Anti-Spyware (Beta) - which is an excellent free program - this program 'catches' and stops programs from getting on your PC in the first place and , like Adaware, removes generated junk.....you still need to identify and remove exhisting programs. If you need help identifying these programs (spyware/adware) give me a shout. Judy

Hi, We're also having problems with the aurora pop up and it's driving me mad too! I thought it was something to do with Ebay as this is when it pops up the most. My husband has been trying to get rid of it for days but no luck so far. I'm not too hot on the technical side of p.c's so if anyone could tell me how to get rid of it in very simple terms! I'd be really grateful!! Carol
