Anne: See the thread '1 Stop Routine PC Maintenance' on the TIPS board. There, on the first page, among the first 8 to 10 posts you will see a quick fix, with directions to fix the error problem. You should also empty cookies and temporary internet folders - directions, if you need them, are also located on the same thread mentioned above, again, on the 1st page. Judy |

This is driving me insane and I wonder if anyone can help. I can only get so far in a lot of sites I use then I get the 'page cannot be displayed' error. Eg in familysearch I get as far as a list of names, but when I click on a name it waits 5 mins then does the error. Also does this on hotmail and yahoo, but (thankfully!) Scotland's People works fine. It did it on this site when I tried to post earlier (using friends computer at the moment). I don't have a firewall apart from the one that comes with XP. Any ideas gratefully received!! Anne |
