Ancestry World Trees

I think I have found an ancestor on one of these - I have subscription to Ancestry but not the World trees. Has anyone found these useful? How accurate are they etc.... Thanks for your help Alice

Hi I have my tree on Ancestry. As far as I know you dont have to pay anything to get to these trees and the persons e-mail address will be shown, at the top of each page . Go to ancestry co uk then click on family tree link then do a search for your name and then once found click on the name and it should take you into the tree. Julie

When I click on the person's name it asks me to subscribe. and there is an orange Buy sign on the right handside of the list of names.

they've got a new service called OneWorldTree, which tries to connect everybody's trees together, like gencircles. If they find you a match, they ask you to subscribe, $40 a year. You have to wonder how loose their matching is. If this is a genuine contact, you can probably match on more than one name. Try some close rellies of the name you've got a match on

I think its a bit like the trees people but on here someone made connect with with me concerning a great aunt i never even knew about
