William is, I think, on 1891 census aged 23 and living with his mother Ann who is a widow and his sister Dinah and brother Hugh. They are living at 10 Starkie Street Leyland. Having looked at your other Cocker thread - this is, perhaps the same family? And maybe your William? If he lived to 94 this would put his death at around 1962. Any help? Lucinda

I don't think they're going to help much though. Lucinda

I've had a quick look at the death index for William Cocker in USA - there are seven listed but none died at age 94! Where did your info about his death come from? Lucinda

I have a William Cocker. I know he was born in Lancashire(leyland or Oswaldthistle) and emigrated to the USA-Massachusetts to be exact. He died at the age of 94 in the aforementioned place. How could I go about locating when he died to work out from there when he was born? I know I should wait for his sister's marriage certificate to come to find her and his parents to locate him correctly this way but I am very impatient! Many thanks, Sineadxxx
