Hi Moe I have been researching my Family Tree since about 1968, so it's about time I had a telegram from the Queen. Jim,I'm sure I am telling you something you know already but were you aware that Lord Egremont owned the East Riding of Yorkshire?He was not averse to shifting families between his two estates to meet his requirements.Mostly he would house them in the villages of Tillington and Northchapel,just outside his estate but which also belonged to him.Well you wouldn't want the peasants cluttering up your pleasure grounds would you? This explains why you sometimes find a name which is plainly not a local one in the local registers.
