I have the Lancashire 1841 discs But lots of the pages are unreadable(You find the copies held by libraries etc are as hard to read) and the info given is just the peoples names, age and occupation It doesn't give you any more details and as it is not indexed searches can take ages Sometimes there is an address and on others there isn't ' I read somewhere that the 1841/51 census will be coming on Ancestry sometime later this year Perhaps subscription to that would be cheaper than buyying the discs as you would have acccess to all the UK and not just Lancashire Regards Bren

Can anyone tell me where I could get the discs for Lancashire 1841 and 1851 censuses. I see some people on here have them and as most of my research seems to be in Lancashire they would be really useful to me. Gloria
