It may be that they no longer have internet access, If you know there name and have any idea where they are, I would try to find them on the b4u site, http://www(.)b4u(.)co(.)uk/index(.)cfm remove brackets. and write to all the possible candidates, or (ring them) Roy |

Email again and give your email address. That way they can respond even if they are no longer members. |

Hi and thanks for your encouraging messages Jenny and Margaret. The 1st message was sent on the 21st March Julie, and another one a few weeks later, but nothing up to now. I'll wait a while i think, and try again. My mom was given away to strangers at 6 weeks, and never knew her mother. After a few years of searching i believe this person is related to my grandmother and may be able to tell me if she is alive or not. The only link i 've ever found! Frustrating...frustrating...frustrating...... |

I know the feeling. I have a few like this at the moment and it is frustrating. I usually send a second email after about a month and sometimes a third a month later. If no reply then I respect that the person may not want to answer or assume they no longer use the site. The frustration doesn't go though, but at least you have tried and maybe one day they will finally get back to you. |

Janice, Only this week I had a message from someone wanting to view my tree. Looking at her name I could see that I did have this surname in my tree. I replied to her and asked which relative she was interested in. She sent me a message back to say that she had not been on GR for a long time (over a year) and was in fact replying to a message I had sent to her regarding a possible connection. So, over a year later, my contact did get in touch, unfortunately as it turned out there was no connection after all. Don't give up hope yet. Jenny |

Hi How long have you given them up to now to respond? They could just be on holiday for a few weeks maybe. Dont give up I have had people respond over a month after I made contact, so there could still be hope of you getting a reply. Good luck Julie |

I've found a def. connection thru GR, and knowing just a bit about this line of the family would hopefully clear up a lot of mysteries, but...no reply. Is there anything at all i can do to make contact? I noticed the membership no. 622208 may be an older no. it's just so frustrating. Could anyone wave a magic wand pls. and get them to answer ? |
