I found out the cause of my GG Grandfather's death was 'Paraplegia' Ive looked on the Internet and found out that its a spinal injury usually caused from an accident. He was a farmer and died aged 66 so i think he must have had an accident at some point. Is there any way i can find out what happened to him, at the time of his death he was living with his daughter and her husband so he was probably in a wheelchair. I've tried typing in his name and words like' paraplegia' 'accident' etc but nothing has come up. Anyone have any ideas? I would really like to find out what happened to him.

I will echo what Alan has said. If he was in a farm accident that resulted in his disability, it would most likely have been reported in the local papers. Try the library in the area he died, they will probably have old newspapers available to view. Although saying that, there are many paraplegics that live for many years after the accident that caused their disability. What time frame are we looking at - can you find him on a census or anything? Sam x
