Researching BDMs after 1910 - advice needed please

Is there a site - other than 1837 - where you can look up BDMs after about 1910? Don't want to waste my 1837 credits as I only have the vaguest idea of dates and would prefer to start with a name/place search to narrow it down a bit. Any ideas folks? Thanks, Pam

Freebmd do have a few entries for the 20th century but other than them all the sites that cover the national GRO index are pay to view. Some counties are beginning to put their local BMDs online, otherwise the only way will be to try to access the GRO indexes on microfiche at a record office or library, or visit the FRC in London to search the index books themselves.

Pam there's www.familyrelatives.org/treequest/jsp/customer/index.jsp but I haven't found it much easier than 1837online. nell

Thanks both. I think maybe a trip to the library is in order. Pam
