Hi I know how to find parents - just get a copy of the birth certificate, this will have both parents names on. With a bit of searching, I can get their birth certificate and keep on going back to 1837. But how can I find out if someone had any siblings or offspring? Is there anywhere to search for births by parents name? |

Hi Tracey What time period are you looking at - it is possible on IGI but its more helpful for mid 1800's than later. Trudy |

The only thing to do is to search through the birth indexes - either online at 1837online, which is pay per view, or at a large library, or LDS Family History Centre, which doesn't cost anything. In the 1920's the mother's maiden name is given in the indexes so it's just a matter of looking at all births for a particular surname and looking for ones with the correct mother's maiden name and in the correct area.
