I'VE NOW FOUND THE RIGHT JOHN SEDDON - BAKER. Thanks again folks I can't read the occupation of John Seddon (father of Elizabeth) on the Ancestry image as follows. He was a Baker in 1887 when Elizabeth married but it looks like Bank something on the image. Name: Elizabeth Seddon Age: 2 Estimated birth year: abt 1869 Relation: Daughter Household: View other family members Gender: Female Where born: Pendlebury, Lancashire, England Civil Parish or Township: Pendlebury Ecclesiastical parish: Christchurch Town: Pendlebury County/Island: Lancashire Country: England Source information: RG10/4012 Registration district: Salford Sub-registration district: Pendleton ED, institution, or vessel: 34 Folio: 123 Page: 12 (click to see others on page) Household schedule number: 70 Can someone with access please tell me what they think. Thanks Lyn |

Looks like Banksman to me. Possibly the word before it could be an abbreviation for canal |

Thanks Jess and Carol It definitely looks like Baker on the marriage cert and on the 1891 census where John is living with Elizabeth and her husband Joseph Thomas Owen. Maybe I've got the wrong family?? Thanks again Lyn |
