If anyone has the 1851 Worcestershire census please could you look up William Commander OR Commanders born 1847 Bromsgrove (in 1861 appears in Lickey End) & Emily Palmer born 1845 Bromsgrove (ditto above) they are my g.g.g. grandparents & I am having real trouble tracking down their parents. Emily's father was John Palmer born 1795 & I think her mother was Phoebe but she was dead by 1861. As for William he is at his granparents (surname Pearcey) in 1861. I found a record on LDS for his christening & his parents are listed as William & Emma. No signs of them at all from 1861 onwards, can't find a marriage or deaths. Am totally flumoxed (sp!). Any help would be gratefully received as I am SOOOOO stuck! Thanks NIcolette |

Dear Carol, Hmm the mystery deepens. I'm pretty sure these aren't the ones as there were another family in Stourbridge in the other censuses. Back to the drawing board- many thanks for your help though! Best wishes Nico |

Just had a thought. Would you be able to check Richard & Martha Pearcey (born 1800 & 1794, both in Bromsgrove). These are his grandaprents in 1861, maybe he's with them in 1851? Many thanks Nico |
