I just sent somebody a message from their name on a thread and no 'allow this member to view my family tree' box appeared. Looked on my contacts and they could not view my tree. It looks as though GR have managed to distinguish between messages sent to help somebody from a thread and messages asking about an ancestor, as the box still appears, ticked, if I send a message to somebody about a name from 'Quick Search'. I Had a look at my contacts list. Under heading*their tree* it says request............under*my tree* it says allow. If I click on allow....it changes to remove. I presume that the allow under *my tree* heading means that they are allowed to see MY tree..UNLESS i click it.........am I correct? Thanks Ann |

No, Ann - if it says Allow you have to click it to allow them to view your tree. If it says Remove you can click it to stop them from viewing your tree. Confused? Kate. |

by peoples name it will say allow click on it and it will say remove which means they can now see your tree. so if you don't want them to see tree any more click on remove and allow will come back. Jeanette |

AH! now I get it..............if I think(i do sometimes!!) allow , tree permission + remove, tree permission then it makes sense. Thanks a lot. Ann |
