Following numerous threads on this board, I thought I would download Adaware and spybot. Have run an adaware scan and it shows 79 critical updates, but wants me to choose whether to quarantine and remove. How do I know if I should select them? Is it safe to remove them all?

you could try Microsoft AntiSpyware that is available to download and they make recommendations to quarantine or delete

Hi I have always removed everything it suggested and never had any problems. I think thats why they are 'quarantined', if there is any problem I think you are able to restore them. If I've not noticed any difference after a month or so, I go back and delete them. Sam x

thanks both of you. I think I'll take a chance and quarantine then remove Caz
