Could anyone possibley help - I need to know where South Bank in Yorkshire is. My rellie was on the 1901 census as being born there and I can't seem to trace him back over. His name was David Thomas born in 1876 in south bank and I want to buy his birth cert but as Thomas is a common surname not sure where to start. Thanks again Jane |

South Bank ......is a part of Middlesbrough, Cleveland. it was in YORKSHIRE, then changed to Teeside..then changed to Langbaurgh....then Cleveland!!!!!!!!! HONESTLY.........NOW...although everybody is confused.technically it's in Yorkshire again. |

Hi Ann thank you, I managed to get a birth cert for a David thomas from Middlesborough but wasn't sure if it was correct one as got address as Linthorpe. Could this be the same area do you think? Thanks Jane |

Funnily enough there is also a Nunthorpe which is part of Middlesbrough.............I thought Holgate was in London!! LOL Ann |
