On family search IGI put in your family name without christian names and search deaths - quite a lot of 1900's deaths come up, may help you trace your ancestors. I note that the deaths do not come up when you search all events so make sure you click on deaths. Good Luck Irene |

Just a word of warning, though: most of the deaths on IGI are submissions by LDS church members, rather than extracts from parish records (the IGI didn't transcribe burial registers in the same way that it did baptisms/marriages). Such member submissions are notorious for their inaccuracies - therefore, if you find a death on there, make sure that you double-check it by sighting the actual parish register entry, or getting the death cert if after 1837. I've had a quick look at one of my surnames and it looks as though they are put up by LDS members who have been researching their own family trees, or taken from the dates of wills, not necessarily from burial registers or death certificates, so I would definitely say check any information you get that way. |

Point taken Richard and Kate, I think this goes for anything found on IGI, you always need to double check any of the information found on there. I does sometimes give you a starting point for checking out the information sometimes. Thank you. Irene |
