If you want photos of the churches where your relatives were christened, married, buried; places they worked, houses they lived in etc. There is a great thread called 'photo offer' on 'records office'. Keep nudging it! |

I knew that my grandparent's cottage was demolished in 1960s and although we had family photos at the doorway, there was nothing to show the over all view. I wrote to the nearby pub and the landlord kindly put up a postcard with my request for a photo and an old villager came up trumps. For present day I often suggest to new parents that they might like to keep a photo of baby's first home along with the birth congratulation cards. |
