I am desperate to find my Grandmothers death so I can get a cert. I believe she may have died from something which is now recurring in the family. Due to an estrangment between her and my mother I only have the following details she was called Beatrice Maud Scanlan B.1906 Died late 1960s/early 1970s in Hendon London. I have had a look on 1837 but have been unable to find her. Can anyone help?? Many thanks in anticipation. Michele |

Hi Michele, Is Scanlan, the maiden name or a married name. Your Grandmother would have been registered with the name that people know her as at the time she died unless they knew her real name. Also was your grandmother married or widowed when she died or could she have married again after the estrangment with your mother and you had not been told? |

As far as I know she was Scanlan when she died and was married although I know it was her 2nd marriage. Michele |

1965-1975 I could only fin these. Death certificates are the least accurate of all scourses for ages, so even ignoring that I would not beable to guess if ether of these are your and were than buried in London. Mar 1966 Scanl_n, Beatrice M 79 E. Glamorgan 8B 868?? Jun 1968 Scanlan, Beatrice M 53 Crewe 10A 280 The only thing I can suggest is if you or another relative know roughtly where she was buried (or cremated), is to get intouch with the local council regarding the grave and try to narrow down when she died. |
