poor parish records

I recently aquired a couple of marridges off parish records but can hardley read tham is there any other souce you can get them from they are 1822-1824 so no civil reg.Iv heard of Bishops tra ncfers is that another souce.Gill |

I don't think Bishop's Transcripts would be any easier to read, even if you can get hold of them. It's a fact of life that some of the early records are almost unreadable. Kath. x |

Bishops Transcripts should be in the relevant county records office. It's worth checking whether the records office or the local family history society have their own copies of the registers - maybe someone did them before they got too hard to read. nell |

Why do i keep calling them transfers sorry all i know it's transcripts. will make a few phone calls tomorrow.Thanks for the advice. Gill |
