Hi Mary Hutchinson was John Hoares first wife, I have some details of some of the children from this first marriage. They appear on the 1861 census as follows May A Hoare born Sheffield, Yorks. 1842 Elizabeth Hoare born Scotland 1848. He then marries his second wife in 1852 with a further 7 children, the births of which are Henry Ireland Harriet Ireland Thomas Canterbury Martha Manchester James Ashton-u-Lyne Kate Manchester. To add to this John Hoare appears on the 1861 census as a Chelsea Pensioner. Hope this inspires you to great things. Thank you Ericx

The marriage of Mary Hutchinson and John Hoare is not on Freebmd. You would need to check the GRO marriage register indexes to find the reference to order their marriage cert, which will give Mary's father's name and occupation. This will be useful in tracing her birth as there are scores of Mary Hutchinsons born around 1820 on www.familysearch.org nell

As John was a Chelsea Pensioner the marriage and Marys death are probably on the 1837 website on the overseas section,even people based in England are on this section if they were in the forces Deborah

Thank you to everyone for your comments. I will follow up your suggestions. I now realise that if I send for Mary A Hoares birth cert I should find some info with regards to Mary Hutchinsons details. Regards Ericx
