I have a rellie who was a gardener at Crete Hall, Northfleet. I cannot seem to find anything on the net about this place - any ideas ? Lin

Hi Louise Thanks for info - unfortunately I have tried the same on Google, but all I get is about establishment in Crete Hall Road nothing about the hall itself Grrrr. Anyway thanks for having a rummage Lin

Lynda, According to someone else's posting on the net 'I am interested in find about more about Benjamin Burch who lived at Crete Hall, Northfleet (later Rosherville, Northfleet), Kent, England. The only date I have is 1800 when he sold this property to Jeremiah Rosher. This is for a local history projected, and I am not related to the Burch family but would be pleased to hear from anyone with information to offer on this gentleman and his family.' Perhaps searching for Benjamin Burch or Jeremiah Rosher may help. By the way according to the Gravesend Council website a cableworks occupies the former site of the hall so it doesn't look like it's there anymore, certainly not as a residence anyway. Emma.
