Can anyone tell me what a newsboy hawk did? This was the occupation of my g grandfather when he was 11. Is it basically selling newspapers on street corners or am I way off the mark? Thanks for your help in advance Dawn x |

Hello Dawn, I think it ran out of space and should have read Hawker. A Hawker is someone who sells things. My G G Grandfather is down as a vegetable Hawker we knew he sold vegetables on a market stall in Petticoat lane so I think as you already guessed your rellie sold Newspapers probably on the street corners. Hope this helps Best wishes Jenny |
