Hi My grandmother used to live on there! I was only very young so I dont know if I can be of any help, I do remember the little corner shops and a little cemetry somewhere behind my grans on the next street I think, and I do remember it being a very large Victorian House with lots and lots of rooms and a cellar and an attic, It was also a busy road at the front and I also remember the old lady next door used to be very noisy! just trying to remember what number she lived at, I think I will have to ask my mum on that one, no 135 or 139 or even 359 not sure sorry. Hope some of this helps, Marie. This was all in the seventies by the way! as my gran died in 79 in that house.

Just thought I'd mention the Clowes in Gt Clowes St is pronounced clues, when I was a kid many many years ago there was always a lot of discount shops and warehouses there, Can't tell you much more than that as it's not my part of town.

Dawn I know where GT Clowes St is it is not far from Strangeways Prison but I dont know anybody who lived there sorry. Dave

It is in Salford Manchester, does anyone know anyone who lived there? the family i'm looking for were there from about 1960's to 80's. Surname Browne. any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Dawn
