Tried to run Ad-Aware tonight on Full System Scan and it keeps coming to a grinding halt half way through. It did let me do a Smart System Scan. Any suggestions as to what's wrong? Jeanette x |

Thanks Dennis I did think of downloading it again - but I didn't think of restarting my computer. Doh! Jeanette x |

Ok, I tried restarting my computer - no joy. Uninstalled Ad-Aware and then down loaded it again. It's still getting stuck in exactly the same place. Any more suggestions? |

Jeanette Have you cleared out your internet files, cookies etc as per Judy's exellent advice? This may solve the problem. If not then try running it in 'Safe Mode'. Bob |

Sorry I haven't got back sooner - got thrown off the computer by teenager! lol Yes it does sometimes slow down when doing a deep scan but it just isn't moving anywhere. When I click Ctrl+Alt+Delete it shows as not responding. Bob - yes I've cleared my cookies and temp internet files. Never been brave enough to run it in safe mode yet! lol Dennis and Vivienne - Thanks for the tip on the Microsoft antispyware. I'll give it a try in the morning. Thanks everyone |

Bob's suggestion to run the PC in Safe Mode is a good one.....whatever is hanging Adaware and keeping it from running will be turned off and will allow the scan to complete.... Judy :) |
