Hope some one can help? Is mush pool, leyland, little bolton and chorley all close by. As the family i am looking for seens to have moved around a lot. Helen

I had a look on www streetmap uk co [insert . where there are spaces] and there's a place to the north west of Chorley called Much Hoole. Perhaps that's your Mush Pool? nell

Thank you.Thats just what i wanted to hear. The mush pool my be mush hool, or may be spelt wrongly.Hard to tell on the 1861 census.

I live near Much Hoole and it is definitely that, there is also a Little Hoole!!

Hi Gloria, the info was great,it was puzzling me a bit, it seems they moved a round a bit
