Living nearby on 1851 census - sarah Rosebrook widow - I think she and her late husband charles may be the parents of Ambrose. They have several children who are on the IGI including an Ester born 1815. Ester Rosebrook was a witness at Ambrose's marriage... Another Charles born in Holburn had a son of Ambrose's children staying in 1861 and gives relationship as 'cousin'. The parents of this Charles were William and Hannah - I wonder if William and Christoher were brothers? So many links and clues all going no where-- I don't seem to be able to establish anything for certain. Can advise me how to sort this info out and where to look next? PLEASSSSSSE ? Crazy Alice |

I cannot find the birth of Ambrose Rosebrook - but I have lots of hunches about him! He says he was born in Stansted Mountfitchett and I reckon it was in about 1810 . His children were baptised at the old independent meeting house, as were several other Rosebrooks who may be his siblings. |
