Jane thank you. I appreciate your message. I am an adoptee. I am trying to find my birth mother. Before I go any further here is my dilema. Do I try and contact here. I do not know if she has a new life with a family of her own now. If I do try and contact her how many problems is it going to cause her? I do not want to mess up her life and that of her families because of my needs. I would just settle for a message saying I am well and happy and thank you for giving me a chance of a new life. Though that could be just niave of me and maybe I was just in the way. Anyone out there that has gone through this I would really appreciate you advice. Thanks for reading this.

So am I - adoptees come poping out of the woodwork when we see that word!! First things first. What is the likeleyhood of you being able to trace her? If you think there is a fair chance, armed with the info decide what it is you want to do. No point in screwing yourself up in knots decideing what to do if the search is hopeless. What ever you decide, there are plenty of us here that will hold your hand, both in practical terms and emotionally. Have you seen our very own thread? jess

Hi David I think GR has just had a 'funny five minute' - I lost the whole site for a while. If you try again, but have no luck, stick another message on here and I'll post my email address VERY BRIEFLY!! Mandy :)
