Hi What magazines would you recommend? There seem to be so many in WHSmiths (and they've all got something in that I want!) and my hubby would kill me if I bought them all! I really want to get just one each month. Also, is it worth getting old ones off of E-Bay? They seem to have a variety going quite cheaply or should I just stick to the new ones? Thanks in anticipation. |

Hi, Everyone has their own favourites. I tried all the ones that looked interesting over a few months & settled on Your Family Tree. I bought a years subscription because it works out cheaper & I check out the others in Smiths every month. If I find something interesting I buy it, but YFT is my fav. Vivienne |

I also like Your Family Tree and subscribe. I read a couple of the others but found them a bit 'serious' for someone like me who hasn't been doing it for very long. Your Family Tree has articles aimed at beginners as well as the more serious stuff. Plus you get a free CD every month which has some good stuff on it! Sam x |

I subscribed to Family Tree because it had an article I was particularly interested in at the time but I wish Id gone for Your Family Tree. You should be able to google if you want to subscribe online -sometimes they have freebies on offer if you subscribe. I also buy Norfolk Roots as that is my location and I have a whole bunch of ancestors here. |

Thanks everyone! I'm just going to have to buy them all for the first month to see which I like the best!! (Shh! Don't tell hubby) I'm going to see if I get hold of any off e-bay as they seem quite reasonable on there. 99p doesn't seem too bad and there seems to be quite a few available. Thanks for your help, anymore suggestions/reviews welcome!!! |
