I've found the marriage of what might be my GGranparents on 1837 online, however when I put the details into Ancestry I get nothing...I've even tried putting the volume no. in, but get nothing past 1910...does anybody know why? My father's birth in 1920 doesn't come up either. Wondered if there's a restriction on the years available in case any of them are still living? Very frustrated!! Wendy B |

Wendy At the moment both freebmd and ancestry are only transcribed up to 1910 and it isn't complete Family relatives in complete up to 1920. Anything past that and you need the GRO indexes like on 1837online Lou |

Agree with Lou, Ancestry isn't complete and doesn't have much after 1910 so that's probably why. Sam x |

Wendy - if you did find it on Ancestry it wouldn't tell you anything different from what you found on 1837. Well, if it did it would be a mistake. Because you see the actual index entry on 1837 it is more accurate than the transcription on ancestry anyway. Kate. |
