I live in Castleford. The electoral roles may be in the library here or in Wakefield. I could ask for you, which year? Bob

Got this from googling:- Castleford Created 20th May 1862 (out of Pontefract district). Abolished 1st January 1868 (incorporated into Pontefract district). Sub-districts : Castleford; Kippax GRO volumes : 9c (1862-67) Ackton, Beaghall with Kellingley, Brotherton, Burton Salmon, Carleton, Castleford, Darrington, Featherstone, Ferry Fryston, Glass Houghton, Pontefract Park, Purston Jaglin, South Milford, Sutton Registers now divided between Pontefract and Leeds districts. Hi all, Could some kind person please tell me if Castleford comes under Pontefract or Wakefield? I need to look at the old electoral register but don't know where it will be. Also which reg office to get a bc for someone born in Castleford? Many thanks x
