Help with some maths please to check a birth date

I've not yet come across a birth certificate which shows the father's age! However, any ages given on censuses and certificates need to be treated with a dose of salt, I would tend to look up to five years either side of the obvious. |

Hi Katrina, I wouldn't say I was any kind of expert on this, even though I have been trying to trace my family for 27 years but, I generally go 1 year before and 1 year after what I have on certificates. I'm going to guess your trying England, mine are Scotland. It's all I can suggest but I hope it is of some use. Try 1859 - 1862. The very best of Luck, Christine. |

Could some expert please re check this please My Grandfather says on my mothers birth certificate 18 Feb 1905 that he was 45 years of age. On his marriage certificate August 26 1903 he says he is 41 years of age. The question is what year does that make him born in? or should I just have to go from ? to ? confused Katrina |
