On census night, if someone was an enumerator would they be included on the census??? Told you it was silly!!! LOL Sarah xxx

Yes, everyone is included. Not sure WHERE though. Enumerators are listed at the beginning of each piece of the census. nell

Wouldn't they have been tucked up in bed with Mrs Enumerator? I thought they went out a day or 2 later and asked who slept there on the night of...!!

In my favourite small Norfolk village, I can identify the enumerator on the census. It is amazing how much more accurate the census is when the enumerator was a local man, rather than in the year when it was a land agent, born in Scotland.
