Hello, I have just discovered on the IGI site that one of my ancestors had four children. The record says they were 'Christened: Lying In Hospital, Endell St, Holborn'. I have googled this and read quite a bit about the Lying-in Hospital itself but the record doesn't say my relatives were born there but that they were christened there. Does anyone know whether there was a church or chapel attached to the hospital, or whether they could have been christened at the bedside? I know someone out there must know! Thanks Cherie

I have the birth certificate of an ancestor born in the Laying in Hospital, City Road. Middlesex, not sure how long mother was in the hospital with baby but the birth was 29th March and the registration of birth was 11th April same address. Irene
