Have you though about writing to the local History centre. They have Electoral Rolls books, you had to be over 21 to vote (now 18), also there would be directorys for shops this would help. If you have a time frame, this will make it easier to look. Worth asking how much it would cost to look. Irene

I have a great aunt and her first name was Dean, I am assuming that was a shortened version of her name. I know, assuming is a bad thing to do. but I have to start somewhere. LOL To try to look up her birth records I am going to have to try and work out what her name was. Any ideas please. Grace
