I've tried googling this and haven't had much luck at all. My nana was living there in 1932 when she married my grandfather. I was just wondering what kind of home it was. My grandfather was not living there but gave his parents' address in St Albans as his residence at the time of marriage. I know that my nana supposedly dragged him up the aisle, just wondering what sort of place she was living in. Does anyone remember it? Is it still there? Chloe

Thank you Sarah and Jess. Your help is really appreciated. Jess - My nana was not put into care though (she was 24 when she married, her family were all still alive and she was still in contact with them, they were a close family). She never mentioned being put into care. And she was a talker, so she probably would have mentioned it! The site is still interesting though. Thanks. Chloe x

That is possible. It might just be a place where 'ladies can stay'. I was just hoping that it was a mother and baby home! Wouldn't be a shock to me if it had been! Skeletons with this woman but nothing concrete. Thanks for the suggestion and the site, Chloe
