I am looking for a marriage between a couple which all i have on them is they were born in a five year period 1840 - 45, the names of them both and roughly the area, i believe their son might have been born about 1872c How do i find this marriage please. Its not on familysearch or freebmd so do i now go to 1837? i have noticed that people offer look ups for BMD where do they get this information from. Many Thanks Kirsty x

Kirsty, have you tried freebmd, you can search the whole country around a period, say when the male reached age 20-25 , so between 1860 and 1873, also you could look for them on 1881 census on IGI, since you have brthplaces rough dob etc. Alternatively go for the birth of the child and cet the cert which will have an address.
