Is there another major forum for UK Genealogy where I can post images? I would like to post images of some birth certificates to see if anybody could help me read them. |

I can't think of a site that you can access without extra cost to you - but do check out the other sites give on the thread. I would be willing to try and read an image for you and know a few people that are pretty good at reading the handwritings in old documents and certificates too, so we should succed between us. |

The British Geneology forum is free, The membership Charlie is talking about is for another web site Archive CD Books which sells Census cd's etc, membership to that site gives you discounts. i would recomend Ancestry Aid and rootschat. Steve. |

Hi Giles B/M/D certificates are not allowed to be scanned and shown on websites, this comes under copyright and data protection, it is to protect identification fraud, although they are allowed to be printed in magazines! Visit www.arewerelated*co*uk to upload all your other family history photos memorabilia etc, also has a forum, with free registration. |

on military sites (free) to which I am subscribed, one can put photos too. I have photos of my Dad on a ww2 one. My avatar on a ww1 site is a photo that includes my Grandad. :-) Joy |
