marriages in u.s.a.

Can anyone advise as to how i can find family in u.s.a. .Have Gt Grandfather wife and 4 daughters in1880 , Found idaughter married 1900 just by chance ,she also had 1 daughter,Is there any way i can find marrages of the daughters. Cant find them anywhere with their single name of Rudkin so guess they must have married by 1900 census

Marriage information in the US is not easy to obtain. One suggestion would be to go the US Gen Web site for the State where the person you are looking for lived. Each state has individual county web sites which may have something for you - perhaps volunteers willing to look up information. Some county sites have lots of info., some very little - you may get lucky.

If you know what state they were married in, there are places in each state to write to........if you have a county, even better. Judy

what part of usa ? i will try and help... in the meantime.. i just tried in Google ( typed in Rudkin family tree) and the 'curious fox' web site came up , amoungst others... i went in ... found it very interesting... there are a few rudkins on it....AND i found my OWN sirname & home town- with some one calling out for info.... so thanks to you for that (iwould never have found it !) hope it brings luck to you.....and now i'm nervously waiting for a reply from the 'mystery researcher! lol! xKx

i'm still looking... i'll try on the west coast too... maybe dad Rudkin got 'gold rush fever' moved to a'little house on the prarie' !!!!??? lol xKx
